Rebooting the unit seems to get it working again but that is not a solution. I have a strong signal that later drops in the same location. I have other netgear products and I'm a fan but not with this product. For the first year, I had no problems. Now, I have many flakiness issues reporting by others. I have upgraded to the latest firmware with no correction.
Cannot work as a wireless repeater unless another ap is installed in the network. Had to configure this one as a client and then buy a wireless router to create another wireless network.
This produst was Very easy to setup and works wonderfully. COuldn't ask for more.
The hard re-set button on the back comes in handy in case you cannot access the unit. However, this unit works quite well as a Wireless Ethernet Bridge between an upstream Netgear WPN824v2 (192.168.1.1) and a downstream Ethernet Linksys BEFSX41 router on its own network (192.168.2.1). I highly suspect that Netgear and other manufactures are now using cheap electronic components that fail within about 2 years. The WPN824 Router and WG602 channel must match, and several switches including the password need to be re-entered when the unit re-boots. I am now on my second WG602v4. The first one, v3 lasted 21 months. Setting it up in the client, infrastructure mode is a bit difficult.
Good delivery time. No Problem great product. Not to easy to set up unless you read the instructions carefully But works fine.
